Melissa is a Senior Team Leader in the Racing Bank and is based in our Wellingborough office. She is part of our market-leading VAT Services department and looks after the team responsible for providing specialist VAT advice and customer facing support.
Melissa joined Weatherbys in 2006 and is currently the longest serving member of our VAT Services team. Her expertise lies within the complexities of the VAT scheme for racehorse owners, as well as the day-to-day running of the of the department. Duties also include assisting her colleagues with her wealth of knowledge and liaising with HMRC on our clients’ behalf.
Melissa has qualifications in Business and Finance, Accounting (AAT) and Leadership and Management (ILM). Prior to joining Weatherbys, she worked at Lloyds TSB providing personal and business banking solutions to a variety of clients.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys running and is currently teaching herself the piano.
