Welcome to the London Office

Our flagship Private Bank office in London is located in Mayfair, in the heart of London’s West End, and is headed by our Head of Private Clients, Oliver Barnett.

Having joined the Private Bank in 2017, Oliver is Head of Private Clients and is based at our London office.  Oliver is ultimately responsible for overseeing all of the private banking teams across all of our offices, as well as ensuring our proposition remains at the forefront of the market.  In addition, Oliver continues to manage a small, diverse portfolio of his own clients, providing bespoke advice on their credit and investment-related requirements. He is principally supported by Jane Wyles, Principal Private Banking Executive.

Oliver’s expertise as a Private Banker is underpinned by his significant experience and the professional qualifications which he has accumulated throughout his career. These include the PCIAM, CeMAP, IAD and the CeFA. Additionally, before joining Weatherbys, Oliver was in the Army, leaving as a Captain in the Scots Guards.

His experience encompasses a broad range of client types, including entrepreneurs, professionals and land owners.  This enables Oliver to ensure the Private Bank and all bankers provide carefully tailored advice on a wide range of different topics, which spans both sides of clients’ personal balance sheets. Oliver understands that resolving complicated issues with bespoke solutions requires a thorough understanding of, and deep relationship with, each client, which is something he promotes passionately throughout the team.

In 2025, Oliver was named Private Banker of the Year at the 2025 Citywealth Magic Circle Awards, as well as featuring in the Spear’s 500 Wealth Management Index.

Meanwhile, while outside of Weatherbys, Oliver will be found spending time with his young family.

Welcome to the Wellingborough office

Our headquarters are located in Wellingborough, a market town in Northamptonshire. From here, we operate Weatherbys Private Bank, Weatherbys Business Bank and Weatherbys Racing Bank.

George is Head of Business Banking at Weatherbys, where he leads an experienced team dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs and business owners across the UK.

A career banker, George brings deep expertise across every stage of the business lifecycle, from high-tech spinouts to international corporates.

He began his career with NatWest in restructuring during the 2008 financial crisis, working closely with businesses to deliver resilience and turnaround at a challenging time. He later moved into growth finance with RBS, helping established companies scale and succeed.

With a passion for innovation and entrepreneurship, George went on to support high-growth companies at Metro Bank, ultimately co-founding a venture builder focused on launching and nurturing university spinouts: bridging the gap between academic research and commercial enterprise.

Outside of work, George serves as an officer in the British Army Reserve with 3rd Battalion, The Royal Anglian Regiment. He is also an experienced sailor and orienteer, though these pursuits take a back seat in order to spend time with his young family — a priority he holds above all else.

Donna joined Weatherbys Business Bank in September 2025, bringing over 30 years’ experience in corporate and commercial banking, having worked at Handelsbanken, Coutts & Co, Barclays and NatWest. Incredibly client and people focused, Donna enjoys working with and growing businesses and individuals, which she delights in as it enables her to also develop herself.

Away from work, Donna has been known to do extra studying, but above all, she loves to travel to experience different cultures and places. Usually, her trips involve skiing or being next to, or on, the sea. Donna also enjoys music events and was delighted to get tickets for Glastonbury in 2025. She has a large circle of friends and a small family, who she sees regularly.

Robert brings over two decades of experience in commercial and corporate banking, supported by a formal qualification in Corporate Treasury. His career spans a broad spectrum of roles, from front-line relationship management and leadership, structured lending to strategic planning and risk oversight. He has successfully led product development initiatives and played a pivotal role in establishing and growing a front-line banking team in a new geographic market.

Robert’s expertise lies in building trusted client relationships, personalised in-depth support, navigating complex lending structures and delivering sound risk management solutions. His professional journey has also included senior strategic roles, where he has contributed to shaping business direction and enhancing product offerings to meet evolving client needs.

Beyond his core banking responsibilities, Robert has held non-executive roles, advisory and directorial positions. These include serving as Chair of a Further Education college and director of a niche SME, where he has applied his governance experience, strategic insight and commercial acumen to support organisational growth and resilience across diverse sectors.

Outside of work, Robert is a keen sportsman and enjoys staying active. He looks forward to the day his children can drive, anticipating the extra time it will afford him to pursue his own sporting interests more freely.
