Growth and development at Weatherbys Banking Group

At Weatherbys Banking Group, development is not a one‑off event. It is a structured, supported journey that evolves as you do.

As you grow, your development evolves with you and so does our approach to learning. We stay open to new ideas, feedback and opportunities, ensuring your development reflects what matters most to you and your career.

By listening carefully to our people, we continue to shape and adapt what we offer, making sure the support you receive keeps pace with your ambitions, your role and the changing demands of the profession.

On joining

From day one, you will  receive the knowledge and core skills needed to perform with confidence. This includes role‑specific learning, understanding our clients and culture and developing strong professional behaviours. To achieve this, we use blended methods of learning that keep inclusivity very much in mind, from digital online learning you can complete at your own pace, to face-to-face workshops.

“The course has given me the confidence to get out and speak to clients about our products and services. It has also been a bonus to build strong relationships with the people I have met this week”

Your development is shaped around both your ambitions and the needs of the business, helping you build a career that moves forward with purpose.

Banking careers which put people first

Alice Richardson, Associate Paraplanner at Weatherbys Private Bank

Alice’s story

“I first joined Weatherbys as an Intern in the Products and Services team in summer 2024. I had such an enjoyable time, that I rejoined as an Associate Paraplanner. I’ve already taken several exams as I work towards my Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and I’ve helped to train new joiners, too. The early responsibility means I’ve really grown in confidence.”

There are also lots of opportunities to meet the wider team beyond our own business areas at enjoyable events like the Brand Value Awards and racedays.”
