Now in its 30th year, the ranking is widely acknowledged as the definitive industry snapshot of the country’s most successful and fastest-growing financial advice companies. It takes into account a range of factors that combine to give a picture of a firm’s standards of professionalism, ability to deliver value for money and other client-centric attributes.
Weatherbys Private Bank is 14th in the 2026 list – a high-profile reflection of the bank’s ambitious plans, first announced at the start of 2025, to double in size by the end of the decade.
Assessing quality, growth and client service
The FT Adviser Top 100 is compiled based on data from ISS Market Intelligence, which provides data, analytics and insight solutions to the global financial services industry. An initial list is created by identifying the 150 largest advice firms by gross sales over a 12-month period – from April 2025 to March this year in the case of the 2026 ranking. Each firm is then scored on a number of factors, including assets under advice, net sales, client retention, estimated performance, chartered or accredited status and years in service.
A significant milestone for Weatherbys
Oliver Barnett, Head of Private Clients, said: “This is the first time Weatherbys has had the opportunity to feature in the list, and we’re thrilled to have earned such a high ranking at the first attempt.
“We see this as further evidence of the effectiveness of our growth strategy and we will continue to work tirelessly to move up the ranking in 2027.”
Barnett added: “A key challenge for any successful firm in any sphere is to grow without losing the essence of what made it a success in the first place.
“We’re showing how this can be done. We’re expanding, we’re adding to our offering, we’re embracing technology – yet we’re still putting clients first in everything we do.”
