Designed for lives that span the Atlantic

For clients with connections to the US, securing good private banking can often be complex, especially when it comes to personal banking and borrowing. At Weatherbys, we have a dedicated team with experience supporting US citizens living and working in the UK.

Our flexible approach, combined with the highly personal service we offer all our clients, means we understand the challenges of managing finances across borders.

We work closely with clients who share our values; who see banking as a long-term partnership, founded on trust, confidence and integrity and always delivered with a personal touch.

Banking that puts you first

Unlike many other banks, we don’t ask clients to invest with us to borrow or open an account. We welcome new clients who simply need efficient day-to-day banking, including foreign exchange, deposit accounts, cash delivery and transactional services.

When it comes to lending, our approach reflects two qualities that sit at the heart of our service: flexibility and understanding. We know no one size fits all, so we take time to get the full picture of your finances before working closely with you to shape a solution that’s right for you.

Once we’ve understood your needs, we can move quickly and efficiently to put the right lending in place – whether it’s refinancing, releasing capital, or funding new opportunities. Our personal approach means decisions are made with care and delivered with confidence, in person or on video call, often within a matter of weeks.

What you need to know

We have the power to lend against investment portfolios, but we don’t insist on advising on the portfolios themselves, nor on acting as custodian. Changes in the exchange rate may increase the sterling equivalent of your debt. Think carefully before securing debt against your home. Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on a mortgage or any debt secured against it.

Our mortgages and loans are subject to underwriting and criteria. You must be 18 years or over to apply for a mortgage or other loan secured on your property. Terms and conditions apply.
