Matt joined Weatherbys in 2026 and leads our specialist banking services for the sports, media and entertainment industries. Matt has over 20 years’ experience in this area having led the SM&E team at Coutts for 12 years – and prior to that the equivalent teams at Barclays and HSBC Private Banks.
Alongside his sector experience, Matt brings expertise through his qualifications, having the rare achievement of being both a Chartered Banker and Chartered Wealth Manager. Matt is dual qualified, holding the Certificate in Mortgage Advice (CeMap) and the Private Client Investment Advice and Management (PCIAM) qualification, which he passed with distinction.
Outside of work, Matt coaches grassroots football and rugby at weekends. He also enjoys going to the cinema, attending live music events and playing golf.
