Ed Harvey-Jamieson joined Weatherbys in 2025 as a Senior Private Banker based in Edinburgh and he works with high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners across Scotland. Providing advice across banking, lending, investments and financial planning, Ed is passionate about building long-term relationships and becoming a trusted adviser who understands the full picture of a client’s financial life.
Ed brings more than 25 years’ experience in private banking and wealth management. He began his career at Adam & Company, where he spent over two decades progressing from graduate trainee to Executive Director. He later joined Barclays Private Bank & Wealth Management as Head of the Edinburgh office and Senior Private Banker for Scotland and Northern Ireland, before moving to Weatherbys.
Throughout his career, Ed has advised entrepreneurs, landowners, professionals and families with complex financial affairs. His experience also includes commercial leadership in financial services, private education and the drinks industry, giving him a deep understanding of the challenges facing private clients, business leaders and entrepreneurs.
A graduate of the University of St Andrews, where he studied modern languages, Ed holds an MBA with Distinction from the University of Edinburgh. Ed is also a Chartered Banker and Chartered Member of the CISI. He holds the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) and the Private Client Investment Advice and Management (PCIAM) qualification.
Outside of private banking, Ed is co-founder of Woven Whisky, an award-winning whisky blending company based in Leith, and a long-standing member of the Royal Company of Archers, which serves as the Sovereign’s Bodyguard in Scotland. He is also a Governor and Trustee of Belhaven Hill School and a board member at Baberton Golf Club in Edinburgh. When not working with clients, Ed enjoys spending time with family and friends and supporting a variety of community and charitable initiatives.
