WEATHERBYS PRIVATE BANK CONTINUES ITS AMBITIOUS PLANS TO GROW ITS BUSINESS IN SCOTLAND WITH THREE HIRES AS IT PREPARES TO MOVE INTO ITS NEW OFFICE, WHICH IS DOUBLE THE SIZE AND NEXT TO ITS EXISTING OFFICE IN RUTLAND SQUARE

Lizzie Kerr joins as a Senior Private Banker from Svenska Handelsbanken and has over fourteen years of financial services experience.  Lizzie started her career at Adam & Company and after four years joined Cluttons Private Finance.  In 2010 she was headhunted to spearhead the private banking offering within a new Edinburgh branch of Svenska Handelsbanken.

Andrew Millar joins as a Private Banking Executive.  He has over twelve years’ experience in personal lending and client relationship management in private banking  and joined from Bank of Scotland Private Banking.  Camilla Harden joins as Marketing Manager from the Royal Household.

Duncan Gourlay, Head of Weatherbys Private Bank in Scotland said:

“I am delighted to welcome Lizzie, Andrew and Camilla to the team.  Lizzie will be responsible for managing client relationships focused on banking, credit and investing.   Her outstanding credentials further enhance our ability to deliver client service excellence which will benefit both our clients and the business.

“Free from corporate constraints our approach to private banking is paying dividends. Since opening our Scottish office in 2015, business numbers have doubled across all metrics namely deposits, lending, investments and client numbers.  Across the wider Group, lending has grown by 160% in the last five years and at 21% per annum since 2010.

“We have recently conducted some research amongst our clients and clients of other banks which has confirmed that overall it’s the exceptional personal service that they value the very most and the sense of belonging to an organisation they really trust.  First and foremost they want to be treated as individuals and be part of a private bank that is responsive and reliable.  Our growth clearly demonstrates the fact that there are many successful people who value the service we offer.”

Commenting on her appointment, Lizzie Kerr added:

“I believe that people do business with companies whose values reflect their own.  It’s the same reason I am incredibly excited to be joining Weatherbys Private Bank which continues to deliver on its sustainable growth and forward looking track record. Clients are treated as individuals and can expect a service that is responsive, reliable, flexible and straightforward.”
