NEW APPOINTMENT

Weatherbys Private Bank appoints Head of Credit from C. Hoare and Co.

NEW APPOINTMENT: WEATHERBYS PRIVATE BANK APPOINTS HEAD OF CREDIT FROM C. HOARE AND CO.

David Green joins Weatherbys Private Bank as Head of Credit from C. Hoare and Co. and will be responsible for ensuring that the bank’s prudent and responsible approach to lending continues.  Prior to nearly 19 years at C. Hoare and Co., David spent 13 years at Coutts.

As Head of Credit, David will join the Credit Committee, chaired by Roger Weatherby, Chief Executive Officer.  He will work closely with Sarah Whitworth-Underwood and David Kindred, Chief Risk Officer, reporting directly to Quentin Marshall, Head of Private Banking.

David’s arrival reinforces Weatherbys’ credit capabilities at a time of strong growth.  Weatherbys’ attention to detail and high levels of service have allowed it to grow its loan book consistently over many years without taking undue risk. This is further evidenced in the recently published 2018 Annual Results.

Commenting on David’s appointment, Quentin Marshall, Head of Private Banking said:

“We are delighted to welcome David to Weatherbys Private Bank.  His skills will underpin our growing and successful business, working alongside our skilled bankers and credit team.  His appointment reinforces Weatherbys’ commitment to excellence and growth at a very exciting time as we approach our 250 year anniversary in 2020.”

David Green added:

“I am delighted to be joining Weatherbys Private Bank where the combination of its full-service private banking offering, lending and wealth management services combined with their independent ownership, is now unique in the market-place.

“Weatherbys has an excellent track record combined with a business model that particularly resonates with clients revolving around outstanding personal service where every client is treated as an individual and importantly a culture of integrity and transparency.”
