Our current accounts

We want to make banking with us as simple and straightforward as possible. When you become a client of ours you will receive your debit card(s); gain access to our online banking and mobile app services; and have the opportunity to apply for an exclusive American Express Platinum or Centurion charge card, if required.

Transferring your account to Weatherbys Private Bank is quick and simple using the Current Account Switch Service.

We also provide competitive rates for foreign currency exchange and when making international payments.

Making payments

With your Weatherbys debit card you can make purchases in person or online, at home or abroad. A cheque book is also available to those clients who require one.

0% on Non-Sterling transaction fees

We will not charge you for withdrawing cash or making payments overseas. When making payments overseas using your card, we advise you to pay in the local currency. It’s better value.

Contactless payments

Your debit card is automatically enabled for contactless payments. Mobile payments are available through both Apple Pay and Google Pay. You can activate this functionality by adding your card to your mobile Wallet.

We can set up an arranged overdraft on your current account, once this has been discussed and agreed in advance with your Private Banker. An arrangement fee for the setup of the overdraft and overdraft interest is due on the amount borrowed. The overdraft is repayable on demand, which means you could be asked to repay the outstanding balance at any time, although we will normally give advance notice.
Overdrafts are not generally suitable for longer-term borrowing and all arrangements are reviewed on an annual basis. Click here to find out more about lending and mortgages.
