David Bellamy

Chairman

David Bellamy joined Weatherbys Bank in 2017 as Chairman. He has worked in financial services since 1973. Prior to joining Weatherbys Bank he was Chief Executive at St. James’s Place, during which time, funds under management more than quadrupled.

Roger Weatherby

CEO

Roger Weatherby became CEO of Weatherbys Bank in 2000. <br>Educated at Eton College & Sandhurst, he joined 15/19 Hussars before working at Cazenove & Co. for 11 years. <br> He gained his Masters from London Business School and joined Weatherbys in 1997. He is Chairman of Weatherbys Hamilton, the private client insurance partnership, and was Chairman of Arkle Finance, the asset finance subsidiary, until 2018. He held the post of Senior Steward (Chairman) of The Jockey Club from 2014-2019. <br> He was a trustee of Racing Welfare for 12 years and Chairman from 2005-2010. From 2010-2013 he was the inaugural Chairman of The Racing Foundation. He has run several marathons and was on the expedition to the South Pole in 2005, raising over £400,000 for charity. In 2018 Roger started “Creating the Future Conference” which brings together experts in diverse subjects to stimulate discussion around major issues facing society, with a second event in 2019.

Andrew Turberville Smith

Group Finance Director

Andrew Turberville Smith ACA, joined the Board in 2006. Previously he was regional finance director for Towergate Partnership and prior to that he spent 10 years in investment banking with JO Hambro Magan, Natwest Corporate Finance and latterly Hawkpoint Partners. He was a member of the FCA's Smaller Businesses Practitioner Panel for six years until March 2015, acting as chairman for the last two years. He originally qualified as a chartered accountant in 1991 with Price Waterhouse.

Quentin Marshall

Head of Private Banking

Quentin joined the bank in June 2015 from Coutts where he had been Head of Advisory within the investments team and deputy chairman of the Investment Strategy Committee, overseeing c. £30bn of assets. Prior to Coutts, Quentin worked for UBS for sixteen years, joining predecessor firm SG Warburg from university as an investment banker. During this time he spent four years advising the Republic of Indonesia during the Asian financial crisis. He also acted for some of the largest FTSE100 companies raising capital and working on mergers and acquisitions. He subsequently specialised in advising family owned companies, moving to UBS Wealth Management to help create the UBS Family Office Group.

Johnny Weatherby

Non-Executive Director

Johnny Weatherby joined Weatherbys in 1979. He was seconded to the Jockey Club as a Director from 1990-1992, and returned to Weatherbys as Chairman in 1993. He served as Chairman of Weatherbys Bank from its start in 1994 until 2017. He remains a Non-Executive Director. He is Her Majesty’s Representative and Chairman of Ascot Racecourse, and a Member of the Jockey Club.

Brian Bourne

Non-Executive Director

Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee, joined the Board in December 2013. An experienced Private Banker, retired in 2012 from a Managing Directorship in HSBC Private Bank.

Johnny Eddis

Non-Executive Director

Johnny Eddis, Non-Executive Director, joined the Board in 2007. He is currently Managing Director of N M Rothschild & Sons Ltd. He has been Co-Head of the Financial Services Group in the corporate finance division for 12 years. He has a number of clients in the banking, insurance and wealth management sectors, and has a broad experience of the financial services industry. Prior to that he qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG. <br> Johnny is Chairman of the charity Racing Industry Accident Benefit Scheme and is also a trustee of Racing Welfare.

Carole Machell

Non-Executive Director

Carole sits as a NED on the board of Weatherbys Bank. Carole held a series of positions at Barclays including Global Head of Operations, Barclays Capital; COO Corporate Banking; Head of the International Corporate Business and COO Barclays Wealth. Prior to joining Barclays, Carole spent eight years at JP Morgan in a range of Operations, Technology and strategic roles. She has also worked for Options Market London Exchange, the Swedish Derivatives Exchange and Merrill Lynch. Carole is a Chartered Accountant and has degrees in Classical Studies and Law from Bristol University and Lancaster Gate. She also has a diploma from Christies in Fine Art and early in her career set up and ran a successful antiques gallery in New York.
